New Year's Eve.

It's New Year's Eve! I can't believe how quickly time has flown by this year. Here is my take on an easy yet put together NYE outfit, minimalistic with a touch of chic. you can't go wrong. I didn't want to wear anything sparkly or glittery so the glitzy part of my outfit are the swing earrings *exciting I know* lol. They add a touch of glamour to my usual plain attire.

Incorporating a pattern is another easy way to jazz up an outfit. When I saw this top in Zara, I was instantly drawn to the deep bottle green colour as well the misalignment of the stripes. Add some heels and boom you're ready to go into the new year with style.

So let 2016 be the year of change, self-growth and most importantly, happiness.

Happy New Year everyone!

Don't Make Me Blush.

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope you're enjoying the holidays! So if you asked me a few years ago or even months ago if I would ever wear pink, the answer would have no been without a shadow of a doubt. However, recently my eyes are always attracted to blush pinky tones. I think this new colour obsession stemmed from the introduction of pink creepers into my ever growing trainer collection.

This bomber jacket is a must have for anyone who loves classic items, with a twist. It's a unique mix of the authentic military style with the incorporation of femininity all in one. In short it isn't too girly (for lack of a better word) and remains street chic.

For me this shade of pink isn't too in your face and is a welcomed addition to my penchant of neutral tones. All in all what I'm trying to say is don't knock it until you've tried it!

Trench It Up.

Happy Saturday lovelies! Since it hasn't been that cold in London despite it being mid-December, I've been able to wear outfits that I usually wouldn't this time of year. For this look I dug out my handy old trench - well it's new, but when I say dug I mean trying to get it out my wardrobe without everything else falling out!

Trench coat's are timeless and never go out of style. This one is in a tweed jersey texture, has a belted waist, large lapels and of course my favourite feature, it's longline. For me coats that are longer in length really add something extra to my outfits and always make me feel elegant without being too excessive and drowning in comparison to other fits.

Paired with a ribbed polo neck and green trousers (yes I'm trying to venture into wearing more colour) this look can be worn from day to night. The heels of my shoes are actually black glitter, but because it's so subtle I couldn't capture it on camera and I completely forgot to take a close up. I'm sure they will appear on my blog again anyway!

Enjoy your weekend!

Mi. Magazine

In November I was offered the opportunity to collaborate with Mi. Magazine and of course I said yes! This is my first collaboration and I feel so proud of myself given that I only started blogging in August 2015. From meeting a few members of the Mi. Magazine Team to meeting three other bloggers, it was such an exciting experience.

Head over to the feature where I share my winter beauty weapon, style essentials and other tips for the winter months. There is also YouTube video which includes my outfit details and the other bloggers featured.

I’ve also saved a screenshot of Mi. Magazine’s website because how often am I going to be on a homepage?!?! *I’m finding it quite difficult to contain my excitement, if you can’t already tell!*

I hope you enjoy this collaboration and as usual thank you for stopping by.

Creepin'

The arrival of the additional colourways from Puma by Rihanna have been long awaited especially since the debut of the in September. I was unlucky and couldn't get my size, so I was quick to snap up both the white and pink combinations.

The fusion of Puma's classic suede body and a thick, gum coloured creeper sole is the ultimate marriage of texture and design. It's definitely worth adding that gives these trainers give you some height without the pain of heels. They are reminiscent of styles that were released in the 90s, chunky and bold. An essential statement piece for any trainer junkie like me.

Gum Soles.

Happy Friday everyone! For those who love trainers like I do immediately know this post title is in reference to the soles of my trainers. Gum, the official name for natural coloured, rubber soles. A sole that was popular in the 70's has slowly made it's come back, all I have to say is yes yes and yes.

I saw these on the Nike website on sale and they immediately reminded me of Rihanna's collaboration with Puma, which are also a sight for sore eyes. These trainers have 3 things that I usually gravitate towards when trainer shopping. 1. Hi-tops 2. Maroon/Burgundy (which are rarely produced for women) and 3. Gum soles which I've already mentioned.

They are my first pair of Air Force 1's, I always thought they looked too chunky but I actually liked them so much that ended buying them in Navy. I tend to buy the same product in multiple colours if they I like them (please tell me I'm not the only one that does this??). Since my AF1's are the main attraction, my outfit is relatively simple with the addition of maroon embedded in my scarf and jumper to tie everything together.

Stay tuned for the appearance of my Navy AF1's!

Green Goblin.

The weekend is almost upon us, happy Wednesday everyone! Today's post features a mixture of green and grey. It snowed last weekend which of course called for a chunky knit jumper. From the colour to the pattern, this ASOS find is definitely a winter warmer. It can be quite hard to style chunky knits without feeling like they drown you or make you look bigger than you actually are. So styling them with thinner layers can take the chunky look down a notch.

Instead of my thicker coats which made the whole look a bit too heavy for my liking, I paired my jumper with a grey pair trousers and a thin coat. Along with these forest green Nike's there you have a winter look that's still comfortable and warm enough (for now) to wear out and about. I'm really happy about Nike coming out with a colourway that would usually be male orientated. I don't know about you but I'm not into bright pink kicks, so when I saw these I had a heart eyes moment staring at my screen hah!

And of course I went back to Dune and bought another cat pom pom. I just couldn't resist..

Camels & Cats

The Camel Coat. A classic piece that transcends any trend and adds a touch of elegance to any outfit. Whether it be a dress or a pair of joggers, there's no going wrong with this winter warmer. This is a new purchase for me and I wanted something different in comparison to all the camel coats on the high street at the moment. So when I came across this one in COS, it instantly ticked all the unique boxes. It has a rib-neck collar and flares slightly towards the bottom creating a subtle A-line silhouette. Need I go on?

Another "new in" item are my Adidas Stan Smith's. A contemporary spin on an iconic design, the leopard print goes perfectly with camel/nude tones, which is right up my alley. If like me you don't wear many prints and patterns introducing them into your footwear collection is a great way to start. It adds a pop to an otherwise plain outfit.

Lastly, my pom pom! Pom pom's are suddenly all the rage as accessory on your bag, purse, keys you name it. Again I wanted something different which this one definitely is. The cat ears are perfect for any cat lover like myself! I think it's safe to say that I want all the colours!

It's a Grey Day.

Happy Sunday everyone! As much as I love black, Grey is probably the most reached for colour in my wardrobe lately. I found this jumper on the "Last Chance To Buy" rail in Zara. I was instantly drawn to the mixture of textures. A polo neck with a flowly fall of chiffon material, what's not to love?!

It's really easy to go from chic to casual simply by changing your footwear. In this instance I changed into Air Max 95's and there you have it, an all day sports luxe outfit. Whether you're going shopping, meeting up with friends, you still look put together! In short, don't overlook trainers when styling outfits.
