Western Details | Layering

Layering with outerwear is slowly becoming a big trend. Layering with different styles of clothing is new to me, but I thought this would be a nice take on keeping warm, rather than a standard coat and jumper. I saw Tres Monikh and Alex Closet style this trend so well. They always look so effortlessly chic, so I thought I'd give it a go and I'm really happy with the overall look.

What are your thoughts on this trend?

Flowy | Morocco

Culottes and chiffon, the ultimate combination to create a flowy silhouette. I left my YSL bag at home, but it would have been the perfect addition to this outfit.

You can't go wrong in all black, and with spring around the corner this outfit could easily be worn with a leather jacket or polo neck underneath. Just play around with layering and you're good to go.

Denim Culottes | Morocco

Happy Saturday everyone! I can't tell you how I happy I am that the weekend is here, despite the cloudy start. I've noticed I talk about the weather quite a bit on my posts (yawn), so instead of being your typical moany Londoner. I'll stop.

I thought I'd share a comfy outfit to pop on whilst on holiday. I can't seem to wear skinny jeans anymore (not that you would in extreme heat) but they're not just as comfy as they used to be. I'm much more drawn to my "Mom Jeans" from Topshop, culottes and generally all things baggy.

I found these denim culottes in the Zara sale for £7.99! Can you believe it? So here they are paired with a simple tee, Toms and my new beige bag (which smells awfully like camel, but it'll air out I'm sure) enjoy the rest of your weekend lovelies!

Pink & Pleated | Morocco

Hey hey everyone!

I have been itching to wear this skirt. I actually wanted to wear it layered with knitwear but as I had a last minute holiday, I couldn't resist bringing it along. Pleated skirts come in all different styles, wide, accordion, box pleats, the list goes on. Taking this into account, choose a pleat style that suits your body and be careful not to drown in it. You don't want to look like an overgrown school girl!

I saw this skirt on ASOS and it's the perfect shade of pastel pink/nude. Paired with a simple cream, lace crop top, the overall look came out neat and uncluttered. I'd love to know how you would you style your pleated skirt?

Prove to me you got some coordination | Morocco

Happy Sunday everyone! Today marks my last day in Morocco and like most people on holiday, I don't particularly want to come back. This holiday definitely made me realise how I don't enjoy London anymore (but that's another story for another post). Onto the clothes!

I've been looking for the perfect co-ord for a while now (I've yet to find one that I genuinely like without finding faults with it) either they're too clingy or simply fit weirdly on my body shape. So instead of looking for pieces that are made to wear as sets, I started looking for items that were similar in colour. And there you have a co-ord bought from different shops and different times but work surprisingly well together. Paired with a basic white tee and minimal accessories, you can do no wrong for that effortless, put together look.

Fringin'

It's been a while since I uploaded a blog post, but I can't deny the fact that in reality if you don't have family or friends to help you out regularly, it's tricky to keep up to say the least. However, on a more positive note, I'll be going on a much needed break this week so fingers crossed I can get some more content out!

So let's talk about the main attraction, the jacket. There's a certain playfulness that comes with fringing and if you ask me it has a cool girl-esque vibe (not that I think I'm cool by any means) but you get my drift. Depending on which material/texture you choose, it can look bad-arse (yes arse because I'm British).

Pleather always adds an edge to outfits, add fringing and boom you're oozing confidence which I know fellow fashion obsessed people will understand. You have that one or two (or several) item(s) in your wardrobe that instantly gives you that "pick me up" feeling. This is definitely that.

In short, incorporate fringing in your life and you won't regret it.
